Syntium · For data partners

Put your data to work for your patients, and the world.

Join the Syntium network. Your data stays in your jurisdiction and under your ownership, becomes discoverable to approved research without ever being exposed, and returns value to your institution and your population.

Why partner

Your patients’ data can change medicine. You stay in control of how.

Syntium exists so that the populations medicine overlooked become part of its foundation, and share in the value that creates.

Mission and benefit-sharing

Help correct medicine’s Western-only evidence base, with benefit-sharing so the populations behind the data share in the value it creates.

Revenue share

When approved research uses your data, your institution shares in the revenue: a return on data you already hold.

Research collaboration

Opportunities for your clinicians and researchers to collaborate on studies that use your data.

Sovereignty guarantees

Data stays in your jurisdiction and ownership stays in-country. You stay in control of permitted uses.

We do the heavy lifting

De-identification, structuring, harmonization, hosting and governance, handled by Syntium with minimal effort from your teams.

How a partnership works

Five steps from first conversation to first return.

01

NDA

We start under a mutual non-disclosure agreement.

02

Data census

Together we map what you hold, using our data census template and metadata questionnaire.

03

De-identification & harmonization

Records are de-identified at source and harmonized to the common data model.

04

Hosting in-jurisdiction

Your data is hosted in Syntium Cloud in your jurisdiction, never moved out of it.

05

Blinded demand & returns

Approved research demand reaches your data through blinded aggregates, and returns flow back to you.

What we ask · what you get

A partnership designed to be light on your teams.

You provide Partner

  • Access to your records under agreed governance, for de-identification at source.
  • A data census of your systems, using our template.
  • A technical contact and sign-off from your IT and data-protection leads.
  • Agreement on permitted uses of your data.

Syntium provides Syntium

  • De-identification, structuring and harmonization of your records.
  • Hosting in Syntium Cloud in your jurisdiction.
  • Governance, security and audit rights, built into the agreement.
  • Blinded demand and revenue share when approved research uses your data.
  • Research collaboration opportunities for your teams.
Security & governance

Written for your CIO and your DPO.

The questions your technology and data-protection leads will ask, answered up front.

Syntium Cloud, in your jurisdiction

Government-grade security, with your data hosted in-country and never moved out of it.

De-identified at source

Records are de-identified before they are used for any research.

No re-identification

Re-identification is prohibited. Researchers receive approved aggregate outputs only.

Audit rights

You keep the right to audit how your data is held and used.

Deletion on expiry

When a partnership ends, your data is deleted from Syntium Cloud.

Client identity blinded

You see demand for your data without exposing patients, and client identities are blinded.

Syntium Scoping Engine for partners

Your data, discoverable. Never exposed.

The Scoping Engine makes your data visible to approved research as blinded aggregate counts. Demand for your data surfaces without exposing a single patient or your institution’s identity.

  • Aggregate counts only. No patient-level data is ever shown.
  • Blinded both ways. Customers don’t see partner names; client identities are blinded to partners.
  • Coming later: a partner dashboard showing requests and utilization.

Where your data sits

Your hub stays yours. Only approved aggregates leave.

Your data forms an in-country hub in a federated network. Research comes to the data inside the Syntium boundary. Nothing patient-level ever leaves.

Partner FAQ

What partners ask before they sign.

Who owns the data?
Ownership stays in-country, with you and your jurisdiction. It never transfers to Syntium, which hosts and prepares the data in your jurisdiction under the terms of your agreement.
Is the partnership exclusive?
Partnerships are long-term and typically exclusive for five years or more. The exact exclusivity and term are set out in your agreement before any data is shared.
What happens to intellectual property?
Rights in your data remain with you. How rights in research outputs are handled, including collaborations with your own researchers, is agreed in the partnership and project terms.
What happens when the partnership ends?
Your data is deleted from Syntium Cloud on expiry, in line with your agreement.
Does our data ever leave the country?
No. Data is hosted in Syntium Cloud in your jurisdiction. Researchers work inside the boundary and receive only approved aggregate outputs.
Will we know who is using our data?
You see demand for your data as blinded aggregates. Client identities are blinded, just as your institution’s name is never published to customers.
How does benefit-sharing work?
Partners share in the revenue when approved research uses their data, and can take part in research collaborations. Participating populations share in the value created. The specific model is set out in your agreement.
